RELIGHT your love of live music with a gig at Boston’s Axe and Cleaver on Friday.
Boston band Into The Flames will be performing at the West Street venue from 10pm.
The young and energetic five-piece rock ‘n’ roll-based Indie band are all aged between 15-17.
They consist of Naomi Bull on vocals, Alex Earle on bass, Paul Verdegaal on drums, Will Rudd on rhythm and lead guitar and Dom Whiffen also on lead guitar.
The band started out as a four-piece in July 2009 with Will and Dom joined by Paul and Alex.
Soon after it was decided they needed someone to front the vocal requirements and in September of the same year they were joined by Naomi.
Since then they have been gigging across Boston and have released their three song EP.
The cd features their self-penned song If I Was Gone, which they describe as a haunting guitar-based ballad.
They say they are influenced by numerous artists including the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Queen, Foo Fighters and AC/DC.
The band said: “We like to take songs that inspire us and make them our own.
“We're all into hard rock and metal. Apart from Naomi, who prefers to listen to more popular music in order to expand the limits of what we can play.”
Entry to the Axe and Cleaver is free.
