Boston’s Phones 4U store is not one of the ones to be saved in a deal with mobile phone firms EE and Vodafone.
The two mobile phone chains have reached deals with administrators PWC, with Vodafone snapping up 140 Phones 4U stories and EE acquiring a further 58, saving the jobs of the staff involved.
However, Boston’s store in Strait Bargate, which employs six people, was not picked up. Both EE and Vodafone already have existing outlets in the town centre, with Vodafone’s outlet situated next door to Phones 4U.
The four staff at the town’s Phones 4U concession, inside the PC World at Trinity Street/West Street, were saved by a deal with Dixons Carphone.
