Careers advice to reach a wider audience

A NEW initiative has been set up to help people in Boston access careers advice more easily.

The National Careers Service and the Boston Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) have joined forces to provide advice and services to as may people as possible, as a careers advisor will be based at the bureau’s base at the Len Medlock Centre every Thursday.

People using the CAB will also be able to book direct appointments with Taylor Itex, which is the National Careers Service provider in the borough.

The two organisations will be holding an event in the Market Place today (Wednesday) from 9am to 2pm where people will be able to find out more information.

CAB chief officer Stuart Hellon said: “Many of our clients’ problems are caused by unemployment. In these difficult times the opportunity to access quality careers advice will be invaluable.”
