Jobs will be created in Boston when a new upmarket retailer opens for business in the town.

The Food Warehouse is expected to create 30 jobs when it throws open its doors to the public next week.

The finishing touches are currently being put to the 10,000 sq ft store on the Boston Shopping Park.

The Food Warehouse will open at 9am on July 12.

It is a new store format created by retailer Iceland and will provide speciality meats.

It will offer a range of frozen, chilled, fresh, branded grocery and home ware lines.

Simon Adcock, store manager, said: “Final preparations are now being put in place as we gear up for our store opening.

“When we open, we’ll be one of three new look The Food Warehouse stores which have been designed to give an enjoyable in store shopping experience across our wide range of products.”

The first 100 customers into the store will receive free gifts and prizes.

A company spokesman said: “Our expertise lies with frozen, with a wide range of meats, fish, vegetables and ready to cook meals including speciality meats such as ostrich.

He added: “Extra attention has been paid to the fresh and chilled offerings enabling customers to shop across multiple categories.

“Products include a wide range of chilled meats, fruit and vegetables, including drinking coconuts from Thailand.

“Those looking to save can make big savings with Case Savers where bulk savings are passed onto the customer.

“There are special ‘When It’s Gone It’s Gone’ deals too where customers can purchase selected home ware lines at great value.”

The Food Warehouse has been trading for about two years. Its growth has been rapid with stores opening across England and Wales.

There are currently 18 stores and that number will reach 19 next week.
