Boston town centre will be filled with all the fun of the fair this week as the town’s traditional annual May Fair returns.
The rides and stalls will arrive from this afternoon, with the event itself running from Friday until Sunday, May 12.
Mayor of Boston, Coun Colin Brotherton, will make the May Fair proclamation from the steps of the Gallopers at noon on Saturday, following a short service.
The Mayor will then take a tour of the fairground when tradition dictates that he and his guests enjoy a ride or two.
The event will take over the Market Place, Wide Bargate, Strait Bargate and Central Park – with an array of attractions for thrillseekers andfamily-friendly rides for the little ones.
During the fair the market will be held on the coach station car park near the Len Medlock Centre. The council says the site was chosen after talks with the stall holders.
