A managing director of a Boston firm is offering for free his business knowledge, experience and expertise for a full day to three interested candidates.
Barrie Pierpoint, of Business Services Lincs, has teamed up with the Boston Standard to make the offer - worth £600 or £1,800 in total.
He has pledged to give, for free, the best of his extensive business experience for a full day to three individuals, whether they are thinking of starting a new business, running a new business or have an existing business which now needs professional guidance to take it to the next level.
Mr Pierpoint has 30 years’ business experience, previously as a group PLC chief executive officer and managing director of various companies. He has turned around loss-making businesses and built revenue streams, raised £12m through a stock-market flotation, and grown one business from £1m to £24m within eight years.
He has also been chairman of various social enterprises and charities, a non-executive director for several companies and organisations including an NHS trust and an independent commercial radio station, and is now a Boston borough councillor.
He described it as ‘an opportunity’ for people who were ‘thinking about starting up in business’, ‘already in business who are struggling’, or ‘at a crossroads’.
“They are going to get a lot of my knowledge and experience,” he said.
Anyone interested in one of the sessions, is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org explaining in no more than 150 words why they should be considered.
The closing date is noon on July 15, 2015.
The offer has to be taken up before December 31, 2015.
