‘LEGENDARY’ United player Paul Bastock was recently made guest of honour at a Boston pub to celebrate its refurbishment.
Goalie Paul visited The Napoleon, known affectionately as ‘Naps’, to mark the pub’s refurbishment by Bateman’s Brewery of Wainfleet.
New owners Kelly and Tom Homer said Paul made a short speech and commented on the similarities between Batemans and Boston United, with each being ‘at the heart of the Boston community’ and both very grateful for the support given to them by the locals.
The front bar in the pub, situated in Fishtoft Road, now has a contemporary sporting theme and features sporting regalia, including a signed Pele shirt.
The back bar refurbishment retains a more traditional appeal.
