A team of staff at a Boston housing association has been shortlisted for a national award.
The marketing and communications team at Longhurst Group, based at Endeavour Park, have high hopes that they will be named ‘Communications Team of the Year’ at the 24Housing Awards taking place in October.
Providing marketing and communications services across the business, they are one of eight teams from housing associations across UK vying for the title.
Senior communications executive Annie McGrath explained why she nominated the team.
“I wanted to celebrate all of the hard work and commitment I’ve seen from every member of the team over the last year,” she said. “There’s a lot happening in the housing sector at the moment all of which is keeping us very busy but we always stay focused on making a difference.”
She added: “Things are tough for a lot of our tenants at the moment so we focus on keeping our communications simple and useful so that people can make informed decisions about their lives.
“We’re also really keen to make people take notice of Lincolnshire and the Midlands generally, so we try to talk about issues that affect our rural communities.
“I’m keeping my fingers crossed but whatever happens at the final I’m really proud to be part of this team.”
