An agricultural dealer with a branch near Boston will be saying ‘hoe, hoe, hoe’ when it holds its annual Christmas opening next month.
Doubleday will be opening the doors of its depot in Station Road, Swineshead, to the public in the coming weeks as part of a recently established Yuletide tradition.
The business, a John Deere dealer, opened the state of the art site in early 2014 and each year since it has held a Christmas opening there.
“This event is a great opportunity for people interested in agricultural machinery to visit a dealership and take a peek behind the scenes!” said Director Zoe Spencer. “We have tractors in the workshop that children can sit in and have photos taken alongside.
“We also have lots of fun games and things for the children to do, including a Pedal Tractor Race track and last year we also had a winter themed tractor colouring competition that the children could participate in which proved very popular!
“We will also have a very special visit from Santa who will be once again arriving on his Deere!”
Zoe added: “It is surprising how many people think that we just sell ‘real’ tractors and farm machinery but we also have a huge range of toys and clothing for all the family too! Within the shops, Doubleday offer a wide range of adults and children’s clothing, footwear and outdoor-wear including well known brands Le Chameau and Musto as well as a wide variety of children’s toys from the small matchbox tractors to the battery powered and pedal ride-on’s.”
The Christmas opening will take place on Saturday, December 3, with activities running all day from 8am-5pm.
In addition to the fun and games and visit from Father Christmas, visitors can expect festive refreshments and Christmas offers.
