VIDEO: Road left damaged by burst water main

Wednesday, 5.10pm: Anglian Water has said they cannot give an estimated time until Horncastle Road, which had a large hole in it following a burst water main last night, will be reopened.

He added they would be doing this in consultation with Lincolnshire County Council’s highways team to ensure the bank was made safe for the road once the repairs were done.

Wednesday, 10.40am: This photo shows the scene of last night’s burst water main in Horncastle Road, which has left a large hole in the road.

The pipe incident left many homes with no water or low water pressure.

Tuesday, 9.15pm: A BURST main in Horncastle Road is affecting water supplies across Boston tonight.

Eyewitnesses say that the incident has pulled up part of the road surface near the junction with Pilley’s Lane.

The burst pipe has left some homes with either no water or low water pressure.

Anglian Water has apologised to customers for the loss of supply and currently estimates that it will restore it by 1.30am.

The road is said to be closed in both directions.
