A Boston air cadet has been selected to accompany the Lord Lieutenant Tony Worth when he represents the Queen on his official duties around the county.

Cadet Flt Sgt Marcus Horry, 17, of 141 Boston Squadron Air Cadets, has been selected for the appointment of Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Lincolnshire on behalf of the air cadet organisation.

The appointment recognises Marcus’ achievements and his contribution to the air cadet organisation.

Marcus is described as a talented sportsman, having represented Trent Wing at football, completed his community sport leader award, and now encourages other cadets to take part in sport. He also has a passion for shooting and has taken part in a number of competitions in the sport.

Marcus also supports many armed forces charities, including Royal British Legion, RAF Benevolent Fund, RAFA Wings Appeal and Help for Heroes.
