An award-winning manager at a pre-school near Boston has collected another national honour – her third in just over a year.
Carolynn Fletcher, 53, of Swineshead Pre-School, has won the Manager of the Year category in the Nursery Management Today (NMT) Nursery Awards 2015.
She was presented with her trophy by BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills at an awards ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.
Mrs Fletcher had to be interviewed by a panel of professionals to be considered for the award, after being nominated by a member of staff.
She said: “I felt very honoured to have been selected as the winner for this award after such stringent interviews. It means a lot to be recognised in the field of education.
“It was a fantastic night and I met some truly inspiring people in the world of childcare.”
A spokesman for NMT said the judges were ‘moved by her dedication, commitment, and passion for excellence’, saying she had ‘inspired them with her positivity’.
Staff member Charlotte Ruck was a finalist in two categories at the event.
Mrs Fletcher’s win came just 14 months after she won Nursery Manager of the Year at the Nursery World Awards in September 2014.
She went on to win in the Outstanding Contribution category at the following year’s event.
Mrs Fletcher described her hat-trick of honours as ‘fantastic’, giving her secret as ‘passion, dedication and vision’.
