Creative children have the chance to win a special gift delivered by Santa himself this Christmas – by taking part in an art competition.

As part of the annual Santa run by Boston Round Table 337, children up to the age of 10 are invited to put their artistic skills to the test and draw or paint a Christmas scene.

Two winners will be selected and they will each receive a special gift from Santa Claus. This will be delivered to them if they live on the sleigh trail – or can be picked up from Santa in Boston town centre on Saturday 13 and 20.

To take part children must produce the picture on an A4-sized piece of paper, with a note to say their name, age, postcode and a contact number, and drop it off to The Standard at 5-6 Church Lane, Boston, PE21 6ND, by noon on Wednesday, December 10.

The two winning pictures will be given prominence on the Round Table’s website – with all the other entries also being featured.

The Round Table’s Santa sleigh will start its rounds on Saturday, December 13, in Boston town centre outside WH Smith in Strait Bargate. It will also finish there on Saturday, December 20.

The other stops on its rounds are as follows:

l Monday, December 15: Tollfield Road, Somersby Way, Tower Road and adjoining roads.

lTuesday, December 16: Freiston Road, Woodthorpe Avenue and adjoining roads.

l Wednesday, December 17: Wellington Road, Woad Farm Road and adjoining roads.

This year Boston Round Table 337 will be joined by the Ladies Circle 525 to collect money which will benefit various chosen charities.
