More than 7,000 people flocked to Central Park at the weekend for a celebration of 50 years of education in the town.
Boston College held Park Fest on Saturday to celebrate its milestone with a mixture of entertainment or all ages and family groups.
Boston College marketing manager and event organiser Katrina Gilbert said: “BC Park Fest was a huge success with over 7,000 people attending throughout the day.
“It was brilliant to see so many people of all ages enjoying the event and of course, we were so lucky to have such great weather.
“It has been overwhelming to receive such fantastic feedback from the general public and the local businesses that attended the event.
“ Boston College is proud to have had such a positive impact on people’s lives over the last 50 years and this was a great way to celebrate its success with the community.”
She said all the businesses that attended were local and were also pleased with the event.
They included a strawberries and cream stand by Tina’s Tribute, To the Moon and Back, Baby be beautiful and Totally Sweets.
