Concerns for underage drinking at bus stop

A resident of Sibsey has said there are ‘growing concerns’ for young people drinking at a village bus stop.

The woman, who contacted The Standard via our Facebook page, claims young people in Sibsey are being ‘offered and drinking the alcohol at the bus stop near the Primary School by a man with white hair and a black hat’.

The Standard spoke to Lincolnshire Police, who told us they have had no official reports of such incidents over recent weeks, but advised for young people not to talk to strangers.

A spokesman said: “We would always advise young people not to engage in conversation with people you don’t know, and if anyone has any concerns about this or incidents of underage drinking, to report it to us.”

To report an incident to the police dial 101.
