Coningsby residents can have their say on plans to designate the parish as a ‘Neighbourhood Area’ under the Localism Act.

Plans are afoot which could result in the community having greater power to shape development and growth in the area through a Neighbourhood Development Plan.

Residents and anyone who works or carries out business in Coningsby is invited to have their say on the plans.

Coningsby Town Council has applied to East Lindsey District Council (ELDC) for the parish to be designated as a ‘Neighbourhood Area’.

The district council is now inviting people to make comments on the proposed area to be included.

The consultation is only on the area of the designation, not what will be contained in any resulting plan.

The consultation will run until February 13, 2015.

The application, including the map of the proposed ‘Neighbourhood Area’, can be found on the district council’s website.
