A MAN who allegedly escaped prison is back behind bars.
The 45-year-old had been on temporary release from HMP North Sea Camp last Tuesday to attend the dentists but failed to turn up.
At 7.25pm, officers were called to a shop in Boston Market Place and found a smashed rear window.
They found the man accused of absconding inside.
It is then alleged he tried to escape by climbing on the roof but fell through suffering a fractured wrist.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and absconding from prison before being taken to Pilgrim Hospital until Friday.
He has now been released on bail but was sent to Lincoln Prison.
He will be returning to Boston to answer bail on May 27.
