Armed police called to damaged car

Police sent armed officers to reports that someone damaged a car with a gun in Boston last night.

The incident was reported just before 10.30pm and involved a Vauxhall Corsa parked in Union Place.

A police spokesman said: “Due to the nature of the report, a firearms response was instigated but no weapons were found and the damage to the vehicle is not consistent with that caused by a firearm.”

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remain at Boston Police Station while officers investigate the incident.

Of the four arrested two are teenage males aged 16 and 17 and two are women, aged 21 and 22.
