Arrest for allegedly brandishing a knife

A WYBERTON man has been arrested following an alleged incident with a knife outside a retirement home.

The 58-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray for two incidents involving threatening behaviour – including one at The Orchards, in Causeway, Wyberton.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told The Standard that the man was allegedly seen brandishing a pen knife at staff outside the home’s electronic security doors at about 1.50pm.

Later, at about 5.45pm, he was allegedly seen with a fire iron in Parthian Avenue.

He was arrested and has been released on bail until March 28.
