Police say the alarm was activated at the Wide Bargate store shortly after 4am.

The raiders got in the building by cutting a hole in the roof and made off with the boxed shoes from a storage cupboard inside.

A force spokesman said: “If you have been offered shoes for sale in suspicious circumstances, or you have any information about the burglary, please call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 39 of November 7.”
