Police have recovered a man’s body from the river in Boston this morning.
Officers were called to the river near High Street/South Street at 9.20am today (Sunday), after a member of the public saw a body in the water.
The body was recovered from the water with the assistance of Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Police have said they believe they know the identity of the man, who is thought to be in his 20s, and have contacted his family, but a formal identification has not yet taken place.
The coroner has been informed and the man’s death will be treated as unexplained until the results of the post mortem are known.
