A BOSTON woman assaulted a police officer as she was being arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, a court has heard.

Lauren Hancock, 25 of Almond Walk, admitted at Boston Magistrates Court to assaulting the officer, PCnSharpe, on November 17.

Prosecuting, Marie Stace said officers were called to her home at 4.10pm but she tried to run away andnhad to be stopped by the officers who handcuffed her before taking her to their car.

Ms Stace said that Miss Hancock lunged forward and pulled at the officer and kicked him on the leg, which she later said had been because she was in pain from the handcuffs she was wearing.

It was said Miss Hancock later apologised to the officer.

The magistrates fined her £100 and ordered her to pay £115 in costs and charges.
