BURGLARS are thought to have kicked a pet dog while raiding a house in Sibsey yesterday.
Police say offenders forced their way into a home in Main Road between 9am and 4pm by smashing the lounge windows at the back of the property with a rock from the garden.
They stole cash and jewellery along with three sets of spare car keys.
A police spokesman added: “During the incident, the family dog was removed from the address and locked in a pen in the garden.
“The dog suffered a facial injury and it is believed it may have been kicked by the offenders.”
Officers are urging anyone with information about the crime to call them on 101 quoting incident 297 of May 29.
