Burglars take £3,500 in raid on Sleaford store

Thieves are said to have broken into the Yorkshire Trading Company store in Sleaford overnight (Sunday/Monday) and taken an estimated £3,500 in cash.

Shoppers were curious at first this morning when the Southgate store did not initially open for business while staff and police dealt with the incident, which was reported at 7.18am.

The shop reopened later in the morning.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told The Standard: “Approximately £3,500 in cash was stolen. We are investigating and anyone with information should call 101.”
