A NUMBER of windows were smashed and stonework was damaged when vandals targeted a Coningsby church in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Seven panes of glass in windows at St Michael’s Church, in the High Street, were broken and damage was caused to the exterior of the building at just after 3am.
An architect and expert stonemason will be needed to tend to the damage.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly anyone who was leaving a licensed premises nearby at that time.
