A BOSTON couple witnessed a gang allegedly beating up a man lying on the ground on Saturday night.
The couple, who asked not to be named, said the man, believed to be homeless and of Eastern European origin, was being attacked by a group of around eight men at the back of the West End Cinema car park.
Speaking to The Standard, the couple said: “We saw a group of people kicking someone on the ground near the lock-up garages, they were foreign-language speaking. By the time the police were alerted the group had dispersed.”
They added: “The man was covered in blood and looked to be in a bad way.”
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said officers attended at about 8.20pm and spoke with the man who ‘refused to give a statement’ and did not want to take the matter any further.
