“Despicable” thieves break-in to home of pensioner killed in Frithville collision

“Despicable” burglars have broken into the home of the elderly man who was killed in a collision in Frithville.

The 74-year-old, who has not yet been named as formal identification procedures have not bee completed, died from his injuries at Pilgrim Hospital following the collision at West Fen Drainside last Thursday afternoon.

The burglary at his home in Tennyson Close was reported at 9am this morning, Saturday April 25, after the glass in the front door was found smashed.

DC Sue-Ellen Wilson, from Boston CID, said: “All burglaries are abhorrent but to break into the home of someone who recently died in very tragic circumstances is a despicable crime indeed.

“ Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area and I am urging anyone with information about the burglary to contact me or approach one of the local officers.
