Emergency services are in attendance at a ‘serious’ road traffic collision on the A17 at Sutterton, police have said.
The collision happened about 8am this morning (Thursday) at the junction with the B1397 and involves an HGV and a van.
The male driver of the van is being flown to the Queens Medical Centre, in Nottigham, by air ambulance but there are no further details about his condition at this time, a spokesman for the police said.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area as there are long tailbacks and recovery of the vehicles may take some time. The road is closed and diversions are in place.
