Two expensive mowers worth about £1000 each were among the items stolen during a burglary in Freiston.

Police say that between 9am and 6pm on Wednesday, April 30, offenders forced their way into a garage on Priory Road.

Items stolen included a Red Murray ride on mower, an orange and black Kubota Petrol mower, a yellow petrol strimmer, a petrol chainsaw, plus two mountain bikes - a women’s Apollo Duel silver with purple flowers and a Diva with a light blue seat.

A police spokesman said: “The property is located near a single track bridge and PC Nick Stenner is appealing to any motorist who may have been waiting to cross around that time, and who may have seen items being loaded into a van or trailer.

“The footpath is also popular with dog walkers who may have noticed suspicious activity.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Stenner by dialling 101 and quoting incident 385 of April 30.
