Boston’s Town Rangers have answered more than 185 calls for help from shops during February, March and April, the
latest figures have revealed.
In February they caught 22 shoplifters, 17 in March and 20 in April.
During the three months a further 46 known shoplifters were followed in stores as a deterrent.
Figures show 22 people were identified for criminal behaviour, 37 incidents of anti-social behaviour were dealt with and Rangers used their first-aid skills on eight occasions.
One aggressive behaviour incident was also dealt with in April.
The Town Rangers are funded by Boston BID (Business Improvement District).
