Lincolnshire Police has confirmed it is investigating the conduct of some of its officers during an arrest in Sutterton.

Officers were filmed by the brother of the 60-year-old man in Sutterton and their actions, which included threatening to ‘grab’ his testicles because ‘then he’ll know’.

The man’s brother James Cushway has said the men were ‘heavy handed’, ‘verbally abusive’ and not worried about the welfare of the man.

Superintendent Maria Staniland of Lincolnshire Police Professional Standards Department (PSD) said: “I can confirm that we have received a complaint about the treatment of the arrested man. We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the arrest and the conduct of our officers. Until the investigation is concluded we are unable to make further comment.”
