A farm vehicle has been used in a ram raid on the Co-op in Donington in the early hours of this morning.
At around 3.20am today, Thursday September 29, a tractor was used in an attempt to remove the ATM from the wall of the Co Op store in Market Place.
The attempt was unsuccessful and the offenders left the scene in a dark 4x4 flat bed vehicle and a dark blue saloon car.
The police investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Spalding CID on 101, quoting incident number 27 of 29th September.
Police remain at the scene and the shop is closed.
It follows a number of similar ram raids across the region including one in Cambridgeshire earlier this week.
Pictures from the scene show the front of the store caved in with the tractor still there and bricks and other debris strewn across the pavement.
One resident told us: “It looks like it’s pretty much taken out most of the shop frontage.”
