Police have officially confirmed that a body found in Anderby Creek in September is that of missing Bicker woman Diane Tytheridge.

A police spokesman confirmed that a formal ID confirmation is now complete and an inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death.

The body was discovered at Anderby Creek on September 15.

At the time it was named locally, but officials refused to confirm the name until DNA evidence was tested.

Diane, 60, was last seen in the Skegness area on June 25, after catching a bus from Boston Police Station.

She had left her house for work at Pilgrim Hospital that morning, but never arrived.

Her family, some of which lived in Australia, had appealed for information regarding her whereabouts.
