Police investigating stolen machinery find alleged cannabis production

Police are investigating a premises in Wrangle after allegedly finding stolen machinery and a ‘substantial grow’ of cannabis.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said officers were called at 8pm last night (Thursday) to reports of stolen machinery on the land at Common Road.

When they arrived, as well as the machinery, they found two lorries with cannabis being produced inside them, and soon after found a third lorry.

Two men, aged 25 and 61, were later arrested on suspicion of theft and production of a controlled drug. A third man, aged 33, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and production of a controlled drug.

All three are currently still in police custody.

It is understood the RSPCA have also been called over concerns about seven dogs on the property.

The spokesman said police locked down the property last night and placed a scene guard on it before returning this morning to carry out a full investigation - including inspecting machinery on the land to see if there are further stolen items.
