Police officer accused of making indecent images of children

A police officer appeared in court yesterday (Wednesday) charged with making indecent images of children.

PC Paul Henry, 42, of Quadring Road, Donington, appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court to face nine charges relating to indecent images – eight concerning the making of indecent, either still or moving, images of children and one of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying a sex act with an animal.

Henry was sent on bail to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on December 2.

No pleas were entered during the hearing.

All of the charges relate to a period between January 1 2012 and April 30 this year and are alleged to have taken place at Donington.

Three of the charges involve the alleged making of the most serious category A images – one alleges the making of a single still image, a second alleges the making of a single moving image and a third alleges the making of 31 still images.

There are three allegations concerning category B images and two concerning category C images.

• Lincolnshire Police said today that Henry has been suspended from Bedfordshire Police pending the outcome of legal proceedings.
