Police raids uncover Class B drugs in Coningsby homes

DRUGS seized during police raids on homes in Coningsby resulted in two arrests on Monday morning.

An early morning police briefing kicked off a series of raids where officers uncovered quantities of class B substances, including cannabis and amphetamine.

Steven Neil Hatfield, 32, of Kings Manor, Coningsby, was later charged at Skegness Police Station with possession of cannabis.

Meanwhile, police forcibly entered the home of Russel Peterson, 42, of Orchard Way in Coningsby.

Peterson was also taken to Skegness Police Station and was charged with possession of 1.9 grams of amphetamine.

Both men were bailed and will appear at Skegness Magistrates Court on April 19.

Officers then moved to Horncastle to raid a property on Paradise Row, off Foundry Street, where they discovered illegal substances.

A 28-year-old man was cautioned on site for possession of cannabis.

The intelligence led operation was part of a Back to the Floor Day for Lincolnshire Police, which saw the Force’s chief officers witness drug raids across the county.
