Police warn of gaming machine thefts in Boston

A SPATE of gaming machine robberies in Boston have prompted police to call for extra vigilance.

Cash was stolen from a gaming machine at the Witham Tavern, in Witham Bank East, after offenders forced open a uPVC patio door.

The raid took place some time between 11.30pm on Sunday and yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

It follows two attacks on gaming machines in kebab shops in the High Street, discovered on Friday and Monday morning.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the Witham Tavern robbery, but also asking people to note anyone paying particular attention to the machines or attempting to pay for goods using unusually large amount of coins.
