Teenager released on police bail after car enters Maud Foster Drain in Boston

A TEENAGER arrested after a car entered the Maud Foster Drain in Boston has been released on police bail.

Emergency services were called to Willoughby Road, close to the junction with Hospital Lane, at 3.50pm yesterday (Tuesday) after a black Volkswagen Golf left the road through the metal crash barrier.

A 17-year-old male from Wrangle and a 16-year-old from Kent were treated for minor injuries after escaping the vehicle.

A 16-year-old male from Boston was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and having no insurance.

He was taken to Boston Police Station and later released on police bail until May 31.
