Three arrested over thefts of catalytic converters

Three men from the Boston area have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the thefts of catalytic converters near Tattershall in the early of this morning (Friday)

A police spokesman said the men, aged 24 and 25 and living in the Boston, were arrested by an officer on routine night patrol shortly after 1am, near the Tattershall Thorpe Karting Club.

The spokesman added they are currently in custody awaiting interview.

Detectives from Louth CID are investigating a number of thefts of catalytic converters that were reported in the Mablethorpe and Chapel St Leonards areas in the last few days.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who has been a recent victim of catalytic converter theft, and who has not already reported it to police.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 28, of July 18.
