Two charged following incident in town centre

A 15-year-old male has been charged with resisting a constable and theft following an alleged incident on Friday morning.

A police spokesman said officers attended the centre of Boston just after 9am, following allegations of ‘threats’ being made to a woman and her partner.

A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old male, were arrested on suspicion of blackmail and taken to Boston Police Station. The 15-year-old was later charged with resisting a constable and theft and will appear at Skegness Youth Court on June 26.

He was bailed for the allegation of blackmail until July 14. The 20-year-old was also bailed to the same date for an allegation of blackmail and also one of theft.

The spokesman said no-one was reported to have been injured.

During the incident the 15-year-old was reported to have climbed out of a window ledge onto a triangular structure over the Haven – resulting in Fire and Rescue being called – but climbed back in a short while after.
