A BODY of a man was discovered in a garden of a house in Boston’s Sleaford Road yesterday (Sunday), police have confirmed.

The road was cordoned off yesterday morning in what police called a ‘major incident’.

Emergency services were called to the address just before 7.30am after reports a man, believed to be in his thirties, was found lying in the garden.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are treating this as a potential crime scene as the death is unexplained.”

A Home Office pathologist was due to arrive at the scene yesterday to examine the body ‘in situ’. A post mortem examination was due to be carried out later that day.

Sleaford Road, between the two mini-roundabouts, will remain closed until the investigation at the scene is completed.

Police are appealing for information about the man’s death and would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area of Sleaford Road, before 7.30am on Sunday, to contact police in confidence on 0300 111 0300.
