Police say the dispersal order in Boston that starts this evening is intended to stop anti-social behaviour (ASB) arising from Halloween.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “Halloween is always a time when we would like to be out reassuring our community, making sure people feel safe.”
If people are deemed to be causing trouble, a dispersal order allows police to move them on and, where appropriate, require them to leave an area immediately.
A dispersal order will be put in place in Boston this weekend according to police.
Lincolnshire Police tweeted out about the order, which will be in place from 6pm Friday until 6am Sunday morning.
They said: “DO [dispersal order] allows people to enjoy themselves without fear of ASB.”
