Police have confirmed that ‘no offence was committed’ after investigating reports of a sexual assault in Boston at the weekend.
Officers have looked into the matter which was reported in the Oxford Street/London Road area, and after assessing the evidence, discovered no further action was necessary.
Saturday, 1.45pm: Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Boston in the early hours of this morning.
A force spokesman said the incident took place at the corner of Oxford Street and London Road and involved a female victim.
The area has been closed off since 7am this morning while investigations take place.
Anyone who was in the area in the early hours of this morning is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 125 of today’s date.
