Warning after rapist serving life sentence escapes prison near Boston

Police hunting a convicted rapist who has escaped from a prison near Boston have warned people not to approach him.

Wayne Jones, 39, absconded from HMP North Sea Camp near Freiston yesterday evening.

He was serving a life sentence for rape.

He is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of small build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has a scar under his left eye and a tattoo on his left wrist.

Police warn anyone who sees Jones not to approach him.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "If you see him, do not approach him but call Lincolnshire Police on 999, quoting Incident 367 of November 25.

"Alternatively, email [email protected] and put Incident 367 in the subject line."
