The next closing date for Bicker Wind Farm community grant applications is fast approaching and local not-for-profit groups that have a governing document (Constitution), bank account and operate within ten miles of the farm are invited to apply.
Priority will be given to projects operating within five miles. The next closing date for receipt of applications is April 1.
Successful projects will need to have an emphasis on the environment, energy renewal/efficiency or conservation.
Examples of funded projects include community building improvements (new doors, windows, heating system etc), sensory gardens, village amenities (ponds, play areas etc), environmental awareness workshops for young people and wildlife areas.
Previous applicants include community groups, school PTAs, pre-schools, youth groups, village halls, and community hub environmental projects.
Successful applications will be those that can prove they meet the fund’s aims and objectives and benefit the community.
