A Boston Grammar School pupil has been awarded ‘Lincolnshire school physicist of the year 2014/15’.

Mihir Rao, a year 12 physics student, was given the accolade at an evening hosted by the new School of Mathematics and Physics at Lincoln University.

A spokesman for Boston Grammar School said: “This was a well-deserved achievement for a talented and gifted young student.”

Head of science, Miss Emma Winter, attended the event on behalf of Boston Grammar School.

The award was sponsored by the Ogden trust - a charitable trust that exists to promote the teaching and learning of physics.
