Pupils at Sibsey Free Primary School will not start back at school until next week, as work to complete the new entrance porch is still underway.

The youngsters were meant to return today (Thursday) but now have the rest of the week off.

Head teacher Phil Coote said the new entrance porch will be of ‘huge benefit’ to the school, offering increased security for the children.

He added; “Staff have been working at the school all week to prepare for the children to return on Monday. Some have even given up two days of their holidays to come in.”
