‘Marvellous Magician’ Leah Pitman worked her magic to win the hotly-contested Kirton’s Got Talent competition.

On Friday the Mayor of Boston Coun Alison Austin joined forces with Kirton Primary School governors to run the rule over the finalists of this year’s competition.

In the build-up to the event a series of acts had auditioned before the school council before being whittled down to a top ten (pictured right) for the live final.

Teacher James Batterham told The Standard: “All of the acts performed brilliantly and the judges had a very hard time choosing the top three but eventually came to the decision that the Marvellous Magician was the best act.”

The magician act was the work of year six pupil Leah Pitman.

Runner up was ‘Rainbow Girl’ Teagan White. The year three student performed her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz. Year six duo Holly Menzies and Dominika Zuk took third place. The twosome impressed the judges with their ‘Bendy Besties’ dance act.
