Elkesley man detained indefinitely in hospital for killing his father

An Elkesley man has been detained indefinitely after he was found guilty of killing his father.

Gary Talbot, 39, was charged with murdering his father Charles Talbot, 64, at their home in Headland Avenue, Elkesley.

Talbot was found unfit to plead at Nottingham Crown Court but this week a jury found him guilty of committing the act of killing.

His father was found with serious head injuries just after 5am Sunday 2nd December last year and died later at Bassetlaw Hospital.

Talbot was made the subject of a hospital order for an unlimited period.
