A free information event about volunteering opportunities is set to take place in Boston later this month.
Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is set to hold a workshop entitled ‘Getting Ready to Volunteer’ at the Len Medlock Centre.
Members of LCVS will be on hand for ‘an informal and friendly get together to have a chat about the world of opportunities that are open’.
LCVS senior volunteering officer Marie Chapman said: “We know taking the first step into volunteering can be daunting.
“Sometimes people are low in confidence, can’t imagine what they have to offer or they’d like to volunteer but don’t know if there’s a suitable role for them out there.
“Our Getting Ready to Volunteer workshops are designed to help.
“We know everyone has something to offer and we want to help people find their perfect role.
“We know from experience that volunteering can be a massive boost to confidence and not only does it benefit organisations, it can change the lives of individuals.”
The workshop takes place from 2-4pm, Tuesday, October 27.
